Android is a Linux kernel based mobile operating system. This system was developed by Google Inc. mainly for touchscreen mobile devices like smartphones and tables.

It is very much easy to sweep, tap and pinch and to input text with a virtual keyboard. But the era has gone that Android is only for smartphones or mobile. Google has already developed Android auto for cars, for television google has developed Android TV, for wrist watches android has developed Android War with special user interface.

Android is also used in game consoles, digital cameras, notebooks and many other electronic devices.

THe HTC Dream or  T-Mobile G1 was the first commercial Android device launched in September 2008. Now the latest version is Nougat which was launched on 22 August of 2016.
